Patricia Stone

Pat Stone is an award-winning choreographer, performance artist, and teacher who has presented work throughout the United States. Her a passion for teaching dance improvisation and somatics is combined with a heart-filled belief that that body-based-arts has the power to contribute to social justice and women’s empowerment. To this end, she has produced events with the Gibney Dance Company's Community Arts Action, a model for survivors of domestic violence, and Keith Hennessy, an American pioneer of queer-themed performance art. Pat completed her master's degree at University of Illinois, Champaign, and in 2006, became certified as a Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analyst. She has been privileged to teach at Texas State University for thirty-seven years.
